Privacy
ChoiceWhy has no account, comment, order, or payment function. We collect only the minimum visit statistics and language preference needed to improve the reading experience.
What information may be processed?
Google Analytics 4 may process page views, navigation, referral source, browser and device type, approximate region, and session information through cookies or similar technology. To choose the initial language, the server reads a country code supplied by the delivery network when available; it does not store precise location. When Railway provides only the nearest edge location, Seoul edge traffic is treated as Korean and other edge locations as overseas. The browser's language is used only when neither signal is available, and we do not send the visitor's IP address to a separate third-party lookup service for language selection.
Language preference
Selecting English or Korean stores a functional cookie named choicewhy_locale for up to one year. It contains only en or ko and can be removed in your browser's cookie settings.
Why are statistics used?
We use them to learn which topics and sections are useful, whether search and navigation work, and where mobile readers leave. They are not used to build member profiles or personalize ads.
